The Cairns Kuranda Steam / Savannahlander pre-recruitment course is tool to assist us in understanding the existing level of knowledge that an applicant for a position already holds, and to gain an understanding of the training that will be required to bring that applicant up to a level of competence. This is not a pass or fail course, but having some basic railway knowledge may be an advantage where there is a pool of applicants to choose from. Our training is tailored to meet the needs of the student and completing this course will allow us to make sure the training lessons are appropriate to those needs.
